What is D3O® impact technology?
D3O® is an advanced, lightweight and flexible impact protection material designed to respond to impact forces when needed. In Achieve D3O, it adds another layer of advanced protection around your child's head while remaining flexible for everyday comfort.
What protection technology does Achieve D3O use?
Achieve D3O combines D3O® impact technology with Head Impact Protection and Air Barrier Cushion™ (A.B.C.) to help absorb and manage crash forces while enhancing side-impact protection around your child's head.
Together, these technologies provide multiple layers of advanced protection designed to work where it matters most.
What is CaféTek™?
CaféTek™ is a premium performance fabric made using repurposed coffee grounds, giving an everyday material a clever second life. Designed for comfort on the move, CaféTek™ helps manage moisture and odour to keep your child feeling fresher and more comfortable throughout the journey.
Does Achieve D3O allow Extended Rearward Facing?
Yes. Achieve D3O supports Extended Rearward Facing from birth up to approximately 30 months*, allowing your child to remain rearward facing for longer before transitioning to Forward Facing with the in-built harness.
Age is a guide only. Always use the shoulder height markers and instructions supplied with the restraint to determine when your child is ready to transition.
How long can my child use Achieve D3O?
Achieve D3O is designed for extended use from birth through to approximately 8 years*. It supports Extended Rearward Facing up to approximately 30 months* before transitioning to Forward Facing with the in-built harness through to approximately 8 years*.
Always follow the shoulder height markers and product instructions rather than age alone when determining when to transition between modes or when the restraint has been outgrown.
My child is 6 years old. Can they still use the in-built harness?
Yes, provided your child remains within the shoulder height markers specified for Achieve D3O. The seat is designed to keep children securely restrained using its in-built harness through to approximately 8 years*.
Age alone does not determine when the restraint has been outgrown. Always follow the shoulder height markers and product instructions when determining suitability.
Will Achieve D3O fit in my car?
At just 440 mm wide, Achieve D3O features an ultra-compact design that helps maximise space across the back seat and makes it a versatile option for a wide range of vehicles.
Vehicle fit can vary depending on available cabin space, seating position, front-seat occupants and other child restraints installed alongside it. We recommend checking your vehicle and restraint dimensions or trialling the seat in your vehicle where possible.
Is Achieve D3O suitable for three-across installations?
Its ultra-compact 440 mm width can make Achieve D3O a practical choice for three-across configurations in many vehicles.
Every vehicle and child restraint combination is different, so always ensure each restraint can be correctly installed and used without interfering with adjacent restraints, seatbelts or other vehicle components.
Does Achieve D3O feature Twist & Lift™?
Yes. Twist & Lift™ allows the headrest and harness to be adjusted together with one hand from the front of the restraint, making it quick and easy to achieve a secure, comfortable fit as your child grows without needing to uninstall or rethread the harness.
Is the Achieve D3O cover machine washable?
Yes. The Achieve D3O cover can be conveniently removed using the press-stud system without uninstalling the child restraint. Machine wash on a cool, gentle cycle and line dry only. Always refer to the product manual for complete care instructions.
Does Achieve D3O have ISOFIX?
No. Achieve D3O is not ISOFIX compatible. It is installed using the vehicle seatbelt together with the top tether strap. ISOFIX is not permitted under AS/NZS 1754 for this category of child restraint.
Do I have to use the top tether strap?
Yes. Achieve D3O must always be installed and used with the top tether strap correctly attached to an appropriate vehicle anchorage point.
Always follow the installation instructions supplied with the child restraint.
Can I install Achieve D3O using a lap-only seatbelt?
Achieve D3O can be installed in an appropriate vehicle seating position using a lap-only seatbelt, provided the seating position and installation meet the requirements specified in the product instructions and an appropriate top tether anchorage is available.
Always refer to the Achieve D3O instruction manual and your vehicle owner's manual before installation.
Does Achieve D3O convert into a booster seat using the vehicle seatbelt?
No. Achieve D3O is an A4/G child restraint designed to use its in-built harness throughout its full period of use. It does not convert into a booster seat using the vehicle's lap-sash seatbelt.
Once your child reaches the upper shoulder height marker, Achieve D3O has been outgrown and your child should transition to an appropriate next-stage restraint.
What is the weight limit for Achieve D3O?
Achieve D3O does not use your child's weight to determine suitability. Australian child restraints certified to AS/NZS 1754 use shoulder height markers to help determine when a child is appropriately positioned for the restraint.
Always refer to the shoulder height markers on Achieve D3O and follow the product instructions when determining whether the restraint remains suitable for your child.
Can Achieve D3O be used on an aircraft?
Achieve D3O is not CASA approved for aircraft use. Airline requirements can vary, so we recommend contacting your airline directly before travelling if you intend to take a child restraint onboard.
Can I use a different or replacement cover on Achieve D3O?
Only an approved replacement cover designed specifically for Achieve D3O should be used. Do not use third-party covers or covers designed for another restraint model, as the cover forms part of the child restraint.
Please contact InfaSecure Customer Care for information regarding genuine Achieve D3O replacement covers.
*Age suitability is approximate. Always refer to the shoulder height markers and instructions supplied with the child restraint.
