This Privacy Policy explains how and when Infa Group Pty Ltd ACN 149 173 660 t/a Infa Group (“Infa Group”, “us”, “we” or “our”) collects, uses, stores and distribute personal information and credit card information that we collect about you online or over the phone. 

 

Infa Group’s Privacy Policy is based on Part IIIA of the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and complies with the Australian Privacy Principles set out in the Privacy Amendment (Enhancing Privacy Protection) 2012 (Cth), as these may be amended from time to time (together the Privacy Act). 

 

When you engage Infa Group to: 

  • provide you with any goods or services, including undertaking any warranty claims; 
  • use any of Infa Group’s other services, including our website, www.infagroup.com.au (“Website”); or 
  • communicate with Infa Group by using our contact form on our Website, by email, by telephone or in writing,

Your communications with us, whether in person, by telephone or online, including your responses to online forms, surveys or contest participation, and any other information you supply in such communication may be retained by us to help us improve our business.  Personal Information is stored and managed by us electronically and in hard copy.

  • participate in our promotions and online surveys;

As a part of your use of a credit card to purchase a product or to pay for any services, Infa Group will collect credit card information. Infa Group may need to provide this information to a third party service provider in order to process your payment. Any third parties that are granted access to your credit card information will only be granted such access to the extent needed to perform their functions.   

 

Infa Group does not store credit card information and will delete credit card information collected by Infa Group as soon as practicable after your payment has been processed. 

 

Each time you visit our Website we collect some anonymous information, known as click-stream data, including the type of browser and system you are using, the address of the website you have come from and move to after your visit, the date and time of your visit and your server's IP address.  We also collect anonymous information on website activity (such as top pages viewed, time spent viewing a page, the number of pages viewed, the number of sessions, and most popular session times). Infa Group collects this information for statistical purposes, to evaluate and improve our Website performance and to improve the content we display to you. To evaluate the effectiveness of our online advertising (including click throughs from email and other direct marketing), we may use third parties to collect statistical data.  No personal information is collected on these occasions. 

 

Infa Group may also match IP addresses obtained in this way to personal information stored in our marketing database.  To the extent that doing so causes otherwise anonymous information to become Personal Informaton, we will collect, store and use that information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. 

 

Infa Group does not collect sensitive information, unless it is specifically relevant and reasonably necessary for the purpose of our business operations and your consent is first obtained.  All sensitive information that is collected is used in accordance with this Privacy Policy. 

 

Infa Group takes security of your information very seriously.  Infa Group holds your personal information in physical form or in electronic form in our systems or the systems of service providers.  We protect your personal information from misuse or loss by restricting access to the information in the electronic format by appropriate physical and communications security measures, such as encrypted rights of access.  Any information is disposed of in a manner that protects the privacy of information in an appropriate manner. 

 

Infa Group uses information you supply to allow us to provide our service to you. We will share your information with our employees, contractors, sellers or buyers and third party marketing, mailing, business and IT service providers we use to provide our products and services. Some of our IT service suppliers are located overseas. Your personal information may be transferred overseas to allow us to conduct our business, but only to the extent strictly necessary and only as permitted under this Privacy Policy. From time to time we may include links to third party websites on our Website. These links are published by us as a convenience to you. If you use these links, you will leave our Website and we are not responsible for your use of any third party web service. 

 

Infa Group is not responsible for any of these third party sites, their content or their usage of your personal information. We advise that you check the privacy policies on those sites. 

 

To improve our business, Infa Group may use a variety of tracking technologies such as cookies to recognise you each time you visit our Website, as well as to track which pages are visited and what you look at on our Website.  A “Cookie” is a piece of information that our web server may send to your device when you visit our Website. Infa Group acknowledges that you have a general right of access to personal information concerning you and to have inaccurate information corrected.  Please contact our privacy officer (details for whom are at the end of this privacy policy) in writing for these purposes and we will endeavour to respond to your request within 72 hours after receipt.  If access is refused to your personal information, we will give you a notice explaining our decision to the extent practicable. 

 

Additional privacy terms may apply to Infa Group employees, contractors, service providers and job applicants.  We confirm that those further terms will be set out in any employment or service contracts.  This Privacy Policy does not apply in relation to acts and practices of Infa Group which relate directly to employee records of present and former employees of Infa Group. 

 

We reserve our right to revise this Privacy Policy from time to time.  We will publish all updates to our Privacy Policy on our Website without any notice to you.  All updates become effective when published on our Website.

Where it is a legal requirement to do so, then in the event we need more time to investigate and resolve your complaint, we will notify you as to the reasons why and seek your agreement to extend this 30 day period (if you do not agree, we may then not be able to resolve your complaint).
