Product Safety Notice - Lyon & Birch High-Low Chairs
Today we are sharing that under limited conditions some of the Grotime Essentials Lyon High-Low Chair & Birch High-Low Chair may not perform to the extremely high safety standards we set for ourselves.
Our testing indicates that on particular batches of the Lyon High-Low Chair & Birch High-Low Chair, there is a risk that the rear chair legs may develop cracks or breaks, which may lead to the chair legs twisting and can impact the strength and stability of the chair legs.
While we have received no notifications of any injuries due to this issue, after concerns were raised by customers we decided to immediately initiate a voluntary recall of the affected highchairs to ensure the safety of all of our customers and their families.
If you purchased a Grotime Essentials Lyon High-Low Chair or Birch High-Low Chair between June 2020 to July 2021, the easiest way to find out if your highchair is affected is to inspect the chair itself.
Affected highchairs have a batch number of PO 0000357, PO 0000657, PO 0000749 or PO 0000810 on a sticker, located under the seat of the chair.
If your highchair also has a rework number of RW0643 on a sticker, located on the back of the seat behind the cover, your highchair is not affected by this recall. The faulty components in these highchairs have already been replaced.
If you have purchased an affected product, we urge you to stop using it immediately - even if the highchair appears unaffected. Customers should register via this form (LINK).
Once registered, you will receive a supportive cross brace kit designed to strengthen the structure of the chair and prevent twisting of the chair legs, with installation instructions, at no cost by express post.
We will be working with the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) and all of our resellers to notify affected customers and supply rework kits to those affected.
We are committed to working with all customers and retailers to replace all defective rear chair legs as soon as possible.
Customers with any questions or concerns are encouraged to contact us.
