Tragically, traffic injury remains the leading cause of death for Australian children under 15, and the second biggest killer of young Australians aged 15 to 24. These aren’t just statistics — they’re children, parents, siblings, and friends whose lives are changed forever.
Road Safety Week 2025 is a powerful reminder that these numbers are not just heartbreaking — they are preventable. This year’s message, Drive So Others Survive, calls on all Australians to reflect on their driving behaviours and commit to safer roads for everyone.
