Infa Group does not endorse the use of any InfaSecure or SecureSafe tethered restraints in Row 2 of the new Tesla Model YL.

The shape of the captain’s seats in this model allows the top tether strap to slip down the side of the seat, preventing the restraints from functioning as intended. This issue applies regardless of whether the restraint is used in a forward- or rearward-facing configuration. This behaviour is not consistent with the conditions under which our restraints are designed and tested, and for this reason we do not endorse their use in this seating position.

While other manufacturers may make their own determinations regarding compatibility with their own products, Infa Group considers that none of our InfaSecure or SecureSafe tethered child restraints are compatible with the second row of the Tesla Model YL.

If child restraints must be installed in this vehicle, we recommend that customers consider using Row 3, where two usable child restraint anchorages are available behind the seats.
